What vehicles do you support?

We specialize in Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. For Mercedes, we support most W204, W207, W212, W218, W221, W164, and W166 chassis. For Porsche, we support most models up to 2019/2020 including Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, and 911. Contact us with your VIN or model/year to confirm before shipping.

What is an ESL emulator and why do I need one?

The ESL (Electronic Steering Lock) is a component that can fail and lock your steering wheel — sometimes while driving. An emulator replaces the physical lock with a programmed module that tells the EIS the lock is engaged without actually locking the wheel. It's a permanent fix for a faulty ESL.

Do you cut keys?

No. We program key transponders only. For AKL (All Keys Lost) service, you will need a local locksmith to cut the physical key blade after we return the programmed EIS. We handle the electronic programming side.

Can you source an EIS unit for me?

Yes, for EIS programming we can source a compatible donor unit if you don't have one. Contact us first with your chassis type and we'll confirm availability and cost before you send anything.

How do I ship my part to you?

Contact us first to confirm your service, then ship your part to: Advanced Locksmith Services, 2362 West Shore Rd Unit B, Warwick RI 02889. Package it securely in a padded box or bubble wrap and ship via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Include a note with your name, phone number, and the service you need.

How long does the whole process take?

We program parts same day we receive them. Return shipping via USPS Priority Mail Express takes 1–2 business days. Total turnaround from when we receive your part to when you get it back is typically 2–3 days.

Is return shipping really included?

Yes. Every service includes return shipping via USPS Priority Mail Express — a $31.55 value. The flat $450 price covers programming and return shipping. You only pay to ship to us.

What if my part is damaged in shipping?

We recommend shipping with insurance and tracking. We are not responsible for damage that occurs during inbound shipping. We package all returns carefully and ship via Priority Mail Express with tracking.

Why is every service $450?

We keep pricing simple and transparent. All four services — ESL emulator, EIS programming, AKL, and Porsche BCM — are $450 flat. That includes programming and Priority Mail Express return shipping. No diagnostic fees, no hidden charges.

Can you make electric bike keys without the lock cylinder?

Accepted Answer

No — electric bike keys can ONLY be made with the physical lock cylinder in hand. There is no way to program or cut keys without it. Please do not ask how to remove your lock cylinder, as every bike is different and we cannot advise on that.

How does the electric bike key service work?

Remove the lock cylinder from your bike and mail it to us. We will cut 2 new keys and return everything via Priority Mail Express. The flat rate is $125.00 and includes return shipping.

$125.00 flat for 2 keys plus return shipping via Priority Mail Express. You only pay to ship the lock cylinder to us.

Is there a warranty on the programming?

Yes. If there is a programming issue with the work we performed, contact us and we'll make it right. We stand behind our work.

What if the part doesn't work after I install it?

Contact us first. In most cases, installation issues are separate from programming. We'll help diagnose whether it's a programming issue we need to address or an installation issue on the vehicle side.
